The wine rack is part of the Iterum collection, an evolving series of design objects crafted from reclaimed steel rebars sourced from construction sites across Rotterdam (NL). Materials that were once discarded are now given new life and carry the physical remnants of the city’s constant transformation.
Gaia questions how our approach to materials will change in a future where we no longer have access to virgin resources and explores the shifting landscape of the material world.
The Iterum collection incorporates themes of sustainability, material consciousness, and the evolving story of urban spaces. It is a reflection of its surroundings, capturing the essence of the city through the materials that once shaped it.
